Military and civilian defence leaders from around the world gathered for the 7th annual 2015 Halifax International Security Forum.
The event, attended by Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, General Jonathan Vance, the Chief of the Defence Staff and Deputy Minister John Forster, provided an opportunity for defence leadership to exchange knowledge and share new and innovative ideas in a dynamic and open way for the contemporary security challenges in the world.
“This weekend we explored every problem set, we shared new and innovative ideas, and – most importantly – we established and renewed productive relationships,” said Minister Sajjan. “As a result, I think we are all better equipped to deal with the challenges of tomorrow.”
The Halifax International Security Forum is an independent, non-profit, non-partisan organization based in Washington, DC. The Forum is made possible by the generous support of its partners, including the Government of Canada’s Department of National Defence and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
