The Rt. Hon. Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, visited National Defence Headquarters on February 28 to meet with senior leadership and members of the Defence Team.

The Prime Minister was greeted by a guard of honour on the main concourse for an official military reception before meeting with the Chief of the Defence Staff, the Deputy Minister, and DND and CAF leaders.

“I was honoured to welcome Prime Minister Trudeau to NDHQ where he saw firsthand the professionalism and dedication that characterizes the women and men of the Canadian Armed Forces,” stated General Jonathan Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff. “Our people, whether on deployed operations or in military institutions across Canada, work hard and make sacrifices every day, and the Prime Minister’s encouraging words and support were very much appreciated.”
