Welcome back to Defence Team News, I’m Lt(N) Jeffrey Lura.

And I’m Shelley Van Hoof. Here are the headlines at Defence.

The Canadian Forces Liaison Council is now accepting nominations for the 13th Biennial Employer Support Awards Program.

Since 1994, the Canadian Forces Liaison Council has recognized deserving civilian employers and educators who have demonstrated exceptional support for Reservist employees.

All Reservists are encouraged to nominate their civilian employer or educator by completing a nomination form found in the related links. Be sure to follow the helpful tips for writing a successful nomination for your employer.

Awards are presented at the provincial and national levels, and all Canadian employers and educational institutions in the private and public sectors are eligible.

It’s time for the civilian Performance Management 2018/19 exercise. This is a perfect opportunity to discuss and align departmental priorities with work objectives and expectations.

Defence is moving to a new electronic format of performance management with the implementation of the Public Service Performance Management Application, or PSPM App. This application will improve the performance management process by reducing administrative tasks, allowing for a more fulsome discussion of each employee’s contribution to the Defence Team.

The application will be available on April 20th, and User Guides, training and resources will be made available soon.
